Under PACT, businesses across various industries are committed to drastically reducing plastics usage and production, increasing their collection of plastics, and switching to alternative materials. These strategies pave the way for a circular economy.

We work with each business to set specific goals and deadlines that they can work towards achieving. We also provide iterative feedback to businesses on their individual progress and challenges. The collective impact of our businesses are collated into our Impact Report, which you can download under Resources and News.

Our onboarded companies (Champions) fall under 5 sectors: E-commerce, Food & beverage (F&B), Hospitality, Manufacturing and Retail Property Management.

Accor Group

As the largest hotel operator in Singapore (15 hotels to date) and in line with its Planet 21 Acting Here sustainable development program, Accor is committed to reducing single-use disposable plastics in all properties by end 2019.

Following the WWF PACT signature early 2019, all Accor hotels have committed to ban plastic straws and provide alternative solutions. The group is now also tackling other amenities such as plastic stirrers and cotton buds to be eradicated from all properties by 2020, and to progressively replace other disposable plastics (such as plastic bottles, plastic laundry bags, disposable plastic glasses, individually plastic packaged items, etc) with more ecological options. Accor’s global and regional procurement teams are key to drive this change and help identify greener solutions.

Annam

Annam Pte Ltd (APL) is the parent company of popular Vietnamese quick-service restaurant brands – NamNam, NamNamGo! and COMNAM Vietnamese Street Eats.

As supporters of (WWF)’s P.A.C.T and No Plastic Straws Pledge, it is committed to eliminate single-use plastics in its restaurants. Initiatives in its restaurants include discouraging the use of straws or otherwise offering bio-degradable ones made of polylactide  from renewable biomass (corn etc.) as well as switching out the table-side plastic sauce bottles to glass bottles instead. Customers are also not charged a takeaway fee if they bring their own containers for takeaways.

Cloversoft

As an advocate for a sustainable future, Cloversoft strongly believes in building and elevating brands with the incorporation of our eco-friendly products.

Cloversoft has committed our unbleached bamboo tissue and plant based straws products to natural proprietary cleaning process to eliminate any release of harmful chemicals into the environment.

We have pledged to create and develop more eco-friendly and safe products. This is to increase the availability of eco-friendly alternatives in the market for consumers to make the green switch – all in effort of fighting the battle against climate change and saving our Earth.

We started eliminating single-use plastics since 2020 and will continue to implement this across 100% of our portfolio by 2023.

Fullerton Hotels and Resorts

The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts currently owns and operates two award-winning hotels in Singapore: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (opened in 2001) and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (opened in 2010). Both hotels anchor the historic and cultural Fullerton Heritage precinct, located in Marina Bay – the heart of Singapore’s city centre. The Fullerton Hotel Sydney will officially open in October 2019, in the historic former Sydney General Post Office, marking The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts’ first international expansion.

Since June 2018, both Singapore properties have eliminated the use of plastic stirrers and straws. We have also eliminated the use of plastic bags and placed recycling bins in all guest rooms since August 2019. The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts are committed towards sustainable business practices and continue to encourage sustainable initiatives throughout the properties.

Grand Hyatt Singapore

Embracing environment sustainability, Grand Hyatt Singapore provides travelers with a 677-room business hotel that is protecting the planet for future generations. Energy-saving measures, food waste management, elimination of single-use plastics, thoughtfully and sustainably sourced food are just some of the hotel initiatives, and diners can also look forward to plant-based dining options as part of Hyatt’s Feel Fuel Function approach to wellbeing.

Herbal Pharm

Herbal Pharm always strives for better products, superior ingredients, and sustainable practices as an award-winning health brand. We have been actively encouraging customers to reduce the usage of disposables and to recycle. We replaced 100% of their single-use plastic product bottles and incentivised customers to bring back recyclable bottles/cans of any brand for recycling. We are replacing single-use plastic carriers with paper carriers. We are launching the Bring Your Own (BYO) Carriers campaign in September 2021 and provide $1.00 off the total bill when customers bring their own bag at their retail stores.

Heybo

HEYBO is a vibrant grain bowl brand that’s out to bring the fun back to the things that are good for you. We want to feed you with the best, so we came up with a unique range of delectable grain bowls, hearty breakfast baos, and creamy dips to go with your lotus root chips.

As its ongoing commitment to reduce waste, Hilton has reduced landfilled waste by 41% across its managed hotels since 2008 and has a focus reducing single use plastics, including committing to eliminate plastic straws from all hotels globally and has removed plastic water bottles from our meetings and event spaces in our Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific regions. PizzaExpress

PizzaExpress was founded in 1965 when Peter Boizot, a well-travelled Englishman with a love for good, returned from one of his trips to Italy and was unhappy that he couldn’t find anywhere in London to enjoy great pizza. Ever the problem-solver, he imported a real Italian pizza oven, knocked down a wall to squeeze it into a small restaurant (it wouldn’t fit through the door), and opened the very first PizzaExpress on Wardour Street in Soho. It is still open as we speak. Today PizzaExpress has over 600 restaurants in 13 countries around the world.

Pontiac Land Group

Pontiac Land, a Singapore-based luxury real estate developer, is proud to be at the forefront of plastic-free sustainability.

The Groups hotels, (namely Capella Singapore, The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, Conrad Centennial Singapore and Regent Singapore) have progressively reduced plastic use, replacing guest amenities with sustainable options. Wooshi is a place where sushi goes to lose its stuck-up image and party hard with flavours from South East Asia and beyond. As the largest hotel operator in Singapore (15 hotels to date) and in line with its Planet 21 Acting Here sustainable development program, Accor is committed to reducing single-use disposable plastics in all properties by end 2019.

Following the WWF PACT signature early 2019, all Accor hotels have committed to ban plastic straws and provide alternative solutions. The group is now also tackling other amenities such as plastic stirrers and cotton buds to be eradicated from all properties by 2020, and to progressively replace other disposable plastics (such as plastic bottles, plastic laundry bags, disposable plastic glasses, individually plastic packaged items, etc) with more ecological options. Accor’s global and regional procurement teams are key to drive this change and help identify greener solutions.

Fullerton Hotels and Resorts

The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts currently owns and operates two award-winning hotels in Singapore: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (opened in 2001) and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore (opened in 2010). Since June 2018, both Singapore properties have eliminated the use of plastic stirrers and straws. We have also eliminated the use of plastic bags and placed recycling bins in all guest rooms since August 2019. Grand Hyatt Singapore

Embracing environment sustainability, Grand Hyatt Singapore provides travelers with a 677-room business hotel that is protecting the planet for future generations.
